The Frolic Home Run Derby is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10th, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.
Check in will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the new PYAC Ballfields on the rodeo grounds.
There are three brackets, men's, women's, and teens, for the home run competition.
There is also a youth farthest hit competition for children 12 and under.
$10 registration fee per batter.
Winners get a $25 gift certificate to the Frolic souvenir hut and one (1) year of bragging rights.

Home Run Derby Rules
- Each batter will have 10 swings.
- Batters do not have to swing at every pitch.
- A missed swing, foul ball, or tip is counted as a swing.
- A home run has to go over the fence.
- The top 50% of players in each bracket will advance to the following rounds.
- Ties will lead to a sudden death round. Each batter will receive 4 swings.
- Bats and balls will be provided.
- Players may use their own bats at the approval of the judges.
- Batters may select their own pitchers; however, once a pitcher is selected, you may not switch pitchers.
- Awards will be given to the first place finishers of the men's, women's, young men's and young women's brackets.
Youth Farthest Hit Rules
- Each batter will have 10 pitches.
- Batters should try to swing at every pitch.
- The farthest ball hit by the player will be marked and recorded.
- Once every player has hit, the player with the farthest recorded hit will be the winner.
